1. Who we are

Rabbit Loop (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian-based technology company operating rabbit-loop.com and related services. We are based in Western Australia, Australia.

For privacy questions, contact us at contact@rabbit-loop.com

2. What information we collect

We collect the following information when you use our services:

  • Account information — your email address and encrypted password when you create an account
  • Profile information — your display name if you choose to provide it
  • Security information — login timestamps, IP addresses, and device information used to protect your account
  • Order information — your name, shipping address, and items purchased when you buy products
  • Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details
  • Subscription information — your subscription plan and status if you subscribe to Rabbit Loop Premium
  • Usage information — which Rabbit Loop services you have connected to your account

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process your orders and payments
  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts
  • Protect your account from unauthorised access
  • Send security alerts if suspicious activity is detected
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Send service announcements when necessary

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to any third party. Ever.

4. Rabbit Loop apps

The following Rabbit Loop apps may collect additional data specific to their function. All app data is stored in the same secure Rabbit Loop account infrastructure described above.

Icon Builder (icons.rabbit-loop.com)

The Icon Builder is a free browser-based tool for creating app icons. No account is required to use it.

No data is collected or stored. The icon builder runs entirely in your browser. Your designs, colours, and elements are never sent to our servers. Exported PNG files are generated locally on your device.

If you are signed in with a Rabbit Loop account, your session cookie is used solely to check your Premium subscription status and remove the watermark from exports. No design data is stored against your account.

RL Strap Monitor (iOS)

The RL Strap Monitor app connects to Rabbit Loop hardware devices via Bluetooth to alert you when a ratchet strap comes loose. Development of the hardware device is currently paused and it is not available for new customers — this section applies to existing users with a device.

  • Bluetooth — used solely to communicate with your RL Strap Monitor devices. Bluetooth data is processed locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.
  • Device records — when you pair a device, its hardware identifier and the name you give it are stored locally on your phone and optionally backed up to your Rabbit Loop account. This backup is used only to restore your devices if you switch phones.
  • Local notifications — loose and disconnect alerts are generated entirely on your device. They are not routed through our servers.
  • Home screen widget — if you add the Strap Monitor widget to your home screen, the last known status and battery level of your strap is shared between the app and the widget using a private storage area on your device (an iOS App Group). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

No alert history is stored anywhere — not on your device, and not on our servers. When an alert fires, it fires and that is the end of it.

Offline use — the core safety function (Bluetooth monitoring and local alerts) works with no internet connection at all. An internet connection is only needed to back up device records to your account.

The app may be used without a Rabbit Loop account. In this case, no data is sent to our servers under any circumstances.

RL Transit (iOS)

RL Transit shows Perth public transport stop search, favourites, and scheduled departure times, using Transperth's publicly published timetable data.

  • Timetable data — Transperth's public timetable data is downloaded to your device so departures can be looked up entirely offline.
  • Location — if you use the “Current Location” option in the journey planner, your device's GPS coordinates are used on-device to find nearby stops. Your location is never sent to Rabbit Loop's servers.
  • Route tracking — if you start tracking a trip, your live location is compared on-device against the route's stops to work out which one is next, and to send you a local notification as you approach it. If you grant background location access, this continues while your phone is locked or the app isn't open, so your reminder still fires. This location data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to Rabbit Loop's servers.
  • Journey planner — searching for a starting point or destination (e.g. a landmark or business) sends your search text to Apple's Maps service. This is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Rabbit Loop does not receive or store these search queries.
  • Favourite stops — if you're signed in, your favourite stops are saved to your Rabbit Loop account. Without an account, favourites are stored locally on your device only.

Offline use — once timetable data has been downloaded, looking up departures works with no internet connection at all. An internet connection is only needed to refresh the timetable data periodically or to sync favourite stops.

The app may be used without a Rabbit Loop account. In this case, no data is sent to our servers under any circumstances.

5. Data storage and distribution

All data collected by Rabbit Loop is stored on secure Australian servers in Sydney, via our database provider Supabase. Your personal information is not sold, distributed, or shared with any third party under our business policy. Payment transactions are processed securely through Stripe and are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

6. Data security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and HTTP-only session cookies. IP addresses are monitored to detect and block brute-force login attempts.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted immediately.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data — download a copy of everything we hold about you from your account settings
  • Correct your data — update your profile information at any time
  • Delete your account — permanently delete your account and all associated data from your account settings
  • Disconnect services — remove any connected Rabbit Loop app from your account at any time

To exercise any of these rights or if you have a privacy concern, contact us at contact@rabbit-loop.com

8. Children and minors

Our services are intended for users aged 16 and over. Users between 16 and 18 may use our services with parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. 9. Changes to this policy

10. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
